Artist Story: Joel Vedad
I paint to express undemanding things in life that most of us longed to feel. The beauty without hesitation, the essence without hidden schema, feelings that make us wonder, emotions that drive people to look back and imagine of what’s to come.
I wanted to show how colors blunt and lame goes in harmony. I want the audience to feel what I felt and in that particular moment without prevalence, there is no ugliness in the heart but passion and inspiration.
Painting is like breathing and if don’t paint what I feel then I would simply fade away and die for my brush strokes are the heaving of my emotions, my colors are the stream that overflows and my canvas is the haven of my dreams and imaginations.
As the poets writes with their aches and frustrations, I paint with my cup of blood the source of my strength to reach out the limitless bounds of self indulgence, sacrifices, absolute surrender and uncompromising intimations.
