Artist Story: Paulo Themudo
Self painter born on 20 October 1968 in the city of Matosinhos | Portugal.
My current art is basically the "Action Painting", although some of my work is also in abstraccionism / figurative.
My school is life and is life itself that is transmitted to the screen.
Studied by several techniques, needs painting and learned from some of my colleagues.
My painting is complemented by the poetry that flows in my veins to make me the man I am and / or represent.
None blob makes sense, not the words to decipher the posts, the dreams or nightmares.
The term comes from within, from the deepest of my soul in an uneven delivery and singular abstraccionism.
I am more than myself when painting a canvas, sometimes almost to violate, a total surrender of body movements and explosions of my most intimate, decipher the pale canvas which teaches me the poetry and links to life itself.
The need for power or cruelty sweetness of words in dyed fabrics that the times the spirit is born.
Paint ... and write, especially with soul ...
I have published 4 Poetry Books and next will be published very soon.

PRESS:
The work of Portuguese artist Paulo Themudo distances itself from figurative art including a work characterized by techniques such as splashing and dripping, which are to launch the screen and let paint drip on top of it.
The largest exponent is dripping with Jackson Pollock, is to let the paint ooze and spread through a container (pipe, tin, box) that sustains the painter. So that the painting takes a character gesture, since the work is carried out with the hand, and with a gesture of movement throughout the body.
In this pictorial design that includes the Action Painting, the work of Paulo Themudo expressed by color and matter sensations such as movement, speed and energy.
The screens fill it full of colors in the form of spots and lines that come together and intermingle.
Stains and drops of different thickness and tones create an attractive and unique to the table surface. The result is an abstract painting of a hand where the color is of fundamental importance in accordance with uniform guidelines and expressing feelings such as aggression, serenity, with feelings of strength and energy.
A pictorial work that has some parallels with the "automatic writing" surreal.
